Cookie & storage policy
Last updated:
This page explains what speedcam.app (this marketing website) stores in your browser. The SpeedCam AI iOS app is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.
What we don’t do
- No analytics or advertising cookies before you accept them.
- No social-media embeds that set cookies.
- No data brokers or session replay tools.
What we do store
Essential (no consent required)
A few small items are stored in your browser so the site works. They are not used for analytics or advertising:
sc-theme: remembers your light or dark theme choice in localStorage, so the site opens in your preferred appearance next time. It stays in your browser.TERMLY_API_CACHE: our consent manager, Termly, remembers your consent choice in localStorage, so it does not ask again on every page.csrf_token: a security cookie Termly sets for its own consent requests.
Analytics and advertising (only with your consent)
The site uses Google’s tag (gtag.js) for two destinations: Google Analytics 4, to see which pages are useful and where people drop off, and Google Ads, to count App Store button clicks as conversions and to build remarketing audiences. If you accept, they set first-party cookies on speedcam.app (_ga, _ga_* and _gcl_au), a _gcl_ls item in localStorage and Google’s own IDE cookie on doubleclick.net, and send page views and those clicks to Google.
Consent is managed by Termly, which passes your choice to Google through Google Consent Mode v2. Until you accept, the tag script is downloaded from Google but sets no cookies and sends no measurement. If you decline, nothing more loads.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Termly treats it as declining: you won’t see the consent banner, and no analytics or advertising cookies are set.
Changing your choice
Use Consent preferences at the bottom of any page to change your choice at any time. Clearing this site’s data in your browser also resets it, and the banner appears again on your next visit.
California, EU, UK, and other jurisdictions
Residents of California (CPRA), the EU/EEA (GDPR), the UK (UK GDPR), Switzerland (FADP), Canada (PIPEDA), and similar jurisdictions have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and to withdraw consent at any time. The options above are how you exercise these rights on this site. For app-specific rights, see the Privacy Policy.
